Version 1.2 Release notes

This section describes the major and minor changes to Gig Juice since the v1.1 release.

Major Changes

  • The introduction of selling through Gig Juice.
    • Tickets.
    • Merchandise.
  • You can still send people to your own ticket sales platform.
  • Selling though Gig Juice is not available to gig goers. But they can still use the Market.
  • You can now find artists or venues marchandise on their profile page.
  • You can now get push notifications.
  • You can now show videos on posts by providing a link.
  • What's on search has been improved.

Minor Changes

  • Some more cosmetic changes to aid user experience.
  • Some issue fixes.
  • Improvement for mobile use.

Planned Future Features

  • The ability to send your Gig Juice post to Facebook and Instagram.
  • The ability to get more offline notifications.
  • API's and a plugin to include Gig Juice in your WordPress website.
  • The ability to design and offer vouchers for market and ticket sales.

Version 1.1 Release notes

This section describes the major and minor changes to Gig Juice since the original release.

Major Changes

  • A revised method of joining Gig Juice. Where you get to select how you want to use Gig Juice.
  • The introduction of 2 new categories.
    • Internet Radio Stations.
    • DJ's.
  • The ability for festivals to show the line up over multiple stages.
  • The ability for promoters to list the artists they promote and add artists that are not able to maintain their own presence on Gig Juice.
  • The ability to message artists and venues etc direct to ensure in case emails get lost in spam. All messages appear in the targets notifications list. PLus they can then reply or block any future messages.
  • What's On shows the next 7 gigs, with the ability to automatically fetch more as you scroll down the list.
  • As a venue or promoter or festival you can now create a spotlight straight from a gig.
  • We have also added the ablity to duplicate a gig so you can quickly set up future dates.
  • Every gig now shows some stats on how people interact with it's entry in What's On:
    • How many times the "view more" button was clicked.
    • How many people clicked "Buy ticket".
    • How many people said they will buy "On the door".
    • How many people bookmarked it into their interested list.
  • The ability to edit the complete post including images. Please note you cannot edit a post if someone has already commented, as we feel this opens up the possibility for abuse and miss interrpretation of the original reason the comment was made.
  • The search results now work across all screens.

Minor Changes

  • Some cosmetic changes to aid user experience.
  • Some issue fixes.
  • The list of gigs for Artists, Venues, Festivals and Promoters on their Profile Page. You could still do this but you would need to set a search in What's On now the gigs are listed even if you go via a category (Artists etc) list.

Planned Future Features

  • The ability to sell tickets via Gig Juice at a fraction of the cost.
  • The ability to sell merchandise via Gig Juice.
  • The ability to send your Gig Juice post to Facebook and Instagram.
  • The ability to get more offline notifications.
  • API's and a plugin to include Gig Juice in your WordPress website.

Version 1.0 Release notes

This is the first major release of Gig Juice in it's Social Media form.
