About Selling

Getting Started

Before you can sell on GigJuice you need a GigJuice sales account. Once you have a verified account you can now sell tickets and merchandise through GigJuice.

We have set our fee to as little as 25p, plus there will be a processing fee and a 20p transaction fee from Stripe. At the time of writing this help Stripe charge 1.5% + 20p per transaction from the UK. Fees do vary depending where the person is purchasing from.

Please remember our fee is constant regardless of item value. The amount we extract from the sale is
Our fee + Stripe Transaction Fee (Money from the customers card) + Stripe Transfer Fee (To your bank 10p + 0.2%)

How it works:

  • The "Sell Via GigJuice" is not available until a Sales Account is created and verified.
  • You can then decide whether the ticket fees are included in the cost of the ticket or passed on to the customer. For low cost tickets there may not be enough in the value of the ticket to absorb the processing fee.
  • The "Ticket instructions" is any text you want to appear on the e-ticket, example: reminder of door open times.
  • The "Text To Show When Buying" allows you add any addition text on the buying form, example: any additional information about the gig.
    • Set up your postage costs and item limit for both normal sales and bulk sales.
    • The order limit is to help control the number items a person can buy for the postage cost you have set.
  • Finally the optional "Special Request Placeholder". This the text that will appear in the input box for collecting special request information, example: Seating required.

Once you have added the gig information, including the online price and completed the "Sell Via GigJuice" you are ready to go. The [Buy Ticket] button will now appear on the gig entry in What's On.

When a User or Guest clicks that button a dedicated buying form will appear.

The buying text that you setup will appear under the email input, if the person buying is known to GigJuice their email will be automatically entered but they can change it.

Next They select the quantity on each ticket type, fill in any special requests and click [Checkout]. This will take the user off to the Stripe Checkout where the payment will take place
