Gaz Keenan is an accomplished musician with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry at varying levels.
Gaz's passion for The Beatles and John Lennon in particular led to the conception of John Lennon Tribute UK - A Tribute to John Lennon.
Concentrating on The Beatles years, John Lennon Tribute UK aims to faithfully recreate:
> Johns soulful vocals.
> His rugged and passionate guitar playing.
> Johns simplistic but beautiful piano work.
> His look, always so cool!
> His mannerisms.
> His accent.
> And, of course - his caustic wit!!
John Lennon Tribute UK's show 'Lennon Retrospective' aims to take the audience on a journey through John Lennon's best loved songs starting with his solo work and culminating in the early Beatles classics. We put on a two-hour, fully-costumed show – Lennon Retrospective – covering Lennon’s best known solo work as well as classic Lennon-penned Beatles songs.
John Lennon Tribute UK
The band is fronted by Lennon look-and-sound-alike Gaz Keenan. Gaz appeared on ITV's 'The Big Audition' in October 2018 winning through the auditions as the best John Lennon to secure a job with one of the UK's top Beatle Tribute Bands.
Since then, Gaz has put together a professional band of musicians with many years’ experience playing theatre venues in leading tribute acts, and the Lennon Retrospective has been created to deliver wide appeal as well as a highly authentic Lennon/Beatles experience.
Gaz is comfortable performing solo in front of thousands of people due to his work within the semi pro music industry.

Red Bazar formed in 2007 as an instrumental trio featuring Andy Wilson on guitar, Paul Comerie on drums and Mick Wilson on bass and keyboards. The line-up released two albums, ‘Connections’ and ‘Differential Being’, and a three track EP, ‘Beyond The Ice Storm’. The releases were well received by audiences and critics alike and the band developed a reputation for their live performances. To expand on the sound, the band recruited keyboard player Gary Marsh and soon after teamed up with singer and multi-instrumentalist Peter Jones.
This line up released the first Red Bazar vocal album, ‘Tales From The Bookcase’. The album was voted runner up in the Classic Rock Society album of the year awards 2016 and appeared in a number of top 10 album listings including magazines, radio stations and internet sites.
Progressive Aspect reported ‘Red Bazar may just have released one of the Prog albums of the year’
The band played a large number of gigs throughout 2016 and 2017 and featured on a number of festivals and continued to develop their live performance and show.
2019 saw the release of the latest album ‘Things As They Appear’ which the band followed up with a series of gigs throughout the first part of the year. The album has retained the bands prog foundations but added a more direct and rockier sound which has broadened the fan base. Both the album and the live shows have received high praise.
November 2020 saw the release of a live DVD filmed at the album launch of ‘Things As They Appear’ at the Borderij in the Netherlands. The band is currently writing new tracks for the next album which will be released early 2022.

A story that began at the legendary Marquee Club in London's Wardour Street finally arrives at the chapter PROG journalist Martin Kielty describes as "Solstice becoming the band they were always meant to be"
On the new album ‘Light Up’ released January 13th 2023:
"Nothing prepared me for the extraordinary new line-up that they have settled on in the last few years. Solstice are back and are back to being brilliant. Their forthcoming album, Light Up, is utterly sensational: beautiful production, great songs, great voices, tricky rhythms and epic guitar solos.” Greg Spawton, Big Big Train
‘Wow! - that's a great sounding album! Very Solstice, and a wonderfully dynamic vibe. Evokes the spirit of the band I first saw in the 80s, but with very much a ‘here and now’ production sound that brings with it the wisdom of those ensuing years. Jerry Ewing, Editor PROG mag.
And live shows:
“Solstice - absolutely outstanding! This band are riding a wave of inspiration right now. The current line up is amazing with each of the eight onstage playing their part to the full. It has to be the happiest and most joyful band on the circuit!” TPA
With the beguiling presence of new vocalist Jess Holland and following the release of 2020 album Sia, Solstice have become THE band to catch live this year. With a string of high profile festival appearances from Glastonbury to Milan, the band’s star continues its rapid ascendence while UK, US and European festival promoters alike add Solstice to their lineups.
The new album, Light Up, will no doubt continue their upward trajectory bringing their music to an ever growing audience. Loved by luminaries like Steven Wilson and Greg Spawton of Big Big Train, Solstice remain a band you’ll never find in the mainstream yet whose music continues to enthral music fans old and new.
-------------------------------------------
Soaring violin and guitar weaving around delicately passionate female vocals, underpinned by driving rhythmic complexity - Solstice were an unlikely band to succeed in 1980s Britain. Yet because of their unique vision, audiences in search of an alternative to the shiny 'product’ of the music industry reveled in the band’s performances at all the major festivals and sell-out tours, on which they made the legendary Marquee club their home.
In spite of this live success, bolstered by BBC sessions and national music press coverage of an unprecedented level for a then-unsigned band, by the close of the 80s the members had dispersed to pursue successful careers in session work, soundtracks and elsewhere, leaving only the independent Silent Dance album to keep the memory alive.
Interest generated by a CD reissue in the nineties led to a Solstice renaissance, with two studio releases – New Life and Circles – and a live album – The Cropredy Set – documenting their return to the big festival stage. This was a period of close ties to Jethro Tull, with Clive Bunker joining on drums for Circles and The Cropredy Set and Andy Glass working as Tull's front of house engineer. between '96 and '98.
Pursuing an intense involvement with traditional music, guitarist Andy Glass once more put the band on hold in order to put his energies into the critically-acclaimed 3sticks, but things once again came full circle. A long-awaited DVD release of the Cropredy performance set the stage for a renaissance in 2007, with the entire back catalogue being re-mastered and issued in greatly expanded 'Definitive Edition’ form, tapping into the current ascendance of musicians mixing traditional influences with contemporary elements, drawing a wider audience for a band who the cognoscenti have loved for decades.
This rich musical heritage provided the foundation for the next stage of the band’s development. With club and festival dates in the UK and, for the first time, mainland Europe, Solstice found themselves playing to a larger audience than ever before, including – the latest in a tradition of bizarre gigs – to the Queen at the new Milton Keynes Stadium. Whilst Her Majesty was unavailable for comment, an unconfirmed rumour suggests that Prince Harry has 'Time for a Toke’ on his iPod.
Following the critical acclaim of 2010 album, Spirit, and it’s live counterpart Kindred Spirits, Solstice released the superb, Prophecy, on Esoteric Antenna, finally providing the band with a platform they had so long deserved. Support, in the form of three remixes, from none other than prog lord, Steven Wilson, and artwork from iconic Marvel artist, Barry Kitson, helped bring the music to the attention of new ears.
2020 finds Solstice on a high. The new album, Sia, sounds like a band finally finding it's true voice. New singer, Jess Holland, brings soul and magic to these beautiful songs as Solstice become the band they've always aspired to be. And what perfect timing for Solstice to sign to GEP, a label that understands and loves both the music and the audience and, of course, was founded as a vehicle for IQ who played with Solstice right at the very beginning.

THE ALOPECIA TRIO.
Back in the mists of time Eliott Fishwarmer had a vision and was determined to turn it into a band. Originally intended to consist of himself, Albert d'Oc and The Mad Dog of Judgement, Fishwarmer began writing. The band was soon joined by Oswald Alegobbler who gave voice to some choice lyrics. Many contributors came and went, although some came more than once!
Life took twists and turns for all involved until sadly Fishwarmer found himself band-less. He continued writing and recording solo until a magical day a few years ago.
There was a knock at the door of the Fishwarmer household and upon answering who should be stood there but Dodo Remainz. Fishwarmer and Remainz go back a long way and it would seem Remainz was at a loose end after recently being released by Leeds United because he was a shit goal keeper. Musically cut from the same cloth Remainz and Fishwarmer set about resurrecting The Alopecia Trio.
A few more members came and went but no drummer had yet taken the bait. Whilst sat fishing one day the two chums noticed something strange in the water. On further investigation it became clear it was a body, barely breathing but alive. Once the friends had revived the bedraggled fellow it was obvious he had no idea who or where he was, total memory loss. A plan was hatched to reintroduce the poor fellow to society. Remainz and Fishwarmer convinced him that his name was Rongo….Rongo Stour and that he was a drummer. So convinced was Stour that he immediately began "relearning" how to play drums and so the current line up of The Alopecia Trio was born.
Eventually DoDo Remainz tired of constantly being in the brilliant shadow of Fishwarmer and decided to take up a career as an aquatic pole-dancer, leaving Stour and Fishwarmer to search for a replacement.
Razzme Berry never wanted to use his Dads fame (Chuck) to bolster his own search for glory. So upon moving from Memphis Telford he took up residence in Covent Garden and taught himself to play accordion. Drawn by the punk explosion of '77 he soon realised that there was little call for his chosen instrument in this genre. Still avoiding guitar he took up bass and joined many successful bands, most notably The Swamp Creatures of Hades and War System.
Eventually he found himself living in Kidderminster where he became involved with other musos who convinced him to follow his Dad and take up rock n roll guitar. As luck would have it an opportunity came up to audition for the multimillion selling Alopecia Trio. This audition, held on the rooftop of Wyred Music, Stourport, with Fishwarmer switching to bass, was a tremendous success and so Razzme Berry joins Eliott Fishwarmer and Rongo Stour in further pushing the limitless potential of the band. There you go, who'd have believed it!
This band has had a long and complicated history but currently is a fast and furious trio playing an entirely original set in a style they call "Chaos Rock n Roll" Heavily influenced by the best of classic punk. If a gig of non-stop energy, humour and non PC songs is what you want then The Alopecia Trio is the band.
